Tidal streaming service launches

http://tidal.com/us
So it is interesting that the millionaire world famous music artists are getting worried enough to launch their own streaming service and try re-add value and quality to music.
It seems that most people expect music for free but the streaming services are paying artists very little at the moment and not sure if this will change even with this new service.
will it be for 'BIG' artists only? or will money trickle down?
So i looked tonight on one of my current record releases on my independent digital label and the streaming stats were at 183 plays at a total of 32 pence after the distributor took their slice... people are making money form advertising via streaming and it is not the artists or small operators.

Major media platforms are keeping the lions share, so we are left with the question where does this leave progression and artist development for the future? big labels will not invest or spend money and at the current business model can not afford to. Will music be given away in return for user data or a small fee? There is still the question of platforms like Youtube holding most of-line music listening source for the average person, what will be their response?
I can not see any of it (money + exposure)being available to the underground/electronic and specialist music genres live or electronic. I am excited for hi- fidelty and quality being championed but to whos advantage? only time will tell. For now please buy music and go see live bands and buy direct where possible, will this see an increase of small vinyl runs and independent labels growing or a final nail in the coffin of the music industry as we know it.
